For Black Cat Appreciation Day this year, I once again give you my boy Ra. This photograph is at least 12 years old (I'm pretty sure it's actually 15 years old) and was taken on a Canon AE-1P. No EXIF data here! I only scanned the image, I never put any post-processing onto it.

This cat has been my companion for the last 15 years and has seen me through the highs and lows of the last decade and a half. I'm sorry to say that Ra's not doing very well these days. He's now 16 years of age and has terminal liver failure, pre-cancerous cells in his intestinal tract, kidney failure and a heart murmur. I worry he won't be with me much longer, but for now he's the focus of my life and I wouldn't have it any other way. I'm doing everything to take care of him and I treasure every day that he's here with me.
