The New Strain (Pokérus TF)

You are watching the news. There's an interesting report on right now.

"A new strain of Pokérus was discovered. This strain, however, was unlike any seen before.
It not only affected Pokémon, but also humans who came into contact with it."

"The first reported case was a young couple. A man and a woman. Who had just returned from a trip to the Galar region.
When they arrived at the airport of Unova. They acted strange.

Both of them looked nervous and were whispering strange things to each other."

"Some quotes according to bystanders are as follows."

"Finally back home and now vul happens..."
"Why is lux happening?..."
"Come thiev we move quickly we'll ev thievul..."
"Everyone is luxio at lux..."

"While passing through security, staff noticed a bulge growing larger in the back of the man's pants.
The woman was refusing to show her hands to the security.

Seeing a potential threat security tried to restrain both of them."

"Forcing the woman to show her hands she cried out "Lu-Luxio!" as they saw blue furred paws instead of hands.

The man wasn't faring well either.
A loud ripping sound reverberated through the airport as a large bushy maroon-orange tail bursts through his pants."

"He cries out "Thievul!" as his tail finally gets free.

Security not really knowing what to do. Restrained them and called the Pokémon center for help.

They show security camera footage of the incident. Despite the unbelievable story."

You see the footage showing exactly what was reported.

"When they were picked up by the Pokémon center staff they were already halfway transformed into their respective Pokémon."

"The man was unable to stand upright anymore as his entire bottom half was changed into a Thievul.

The woman couldn't speak human anymore as her entire top half was changed into a Luxio."

"The couple was soon isolated and quarantined by the local Pokémon Center to research what happened.
It came to light that the cause was a mutated strain of Pokérus. This strain can apparently infect both humans and Pokémon."

"When it comes into contact with a human it will transform them into a Pokémon.

Immediately after finding this out teams were dispatched to find and quarantine those who came into contact with the couple."

"It was easy to find them, as most of them were already turning into Pokémon.

Most notably the security guards who restrained them were turning into Growlithe's."

You can only think about the amount of people they must have touched while they were infected.

"R-ruff now scientist and researcher alike are studying the virus. Looking for a cure.

Please re-frou-n from coming into contact with anyone to prevent the frou-ther spread of the furfrou."

The reported scratches their ears as they grow white fur on them.

You see them grow larger. Flopping downwards.

There's an "Oh shit!" and "Turn the feed off!" from behind the cameras and soon after the news is off. Replaced with a cooking show.

Seems like things are far from over.
