A map of a region of the Sword Coast, commissioned by a Dungeon Master for his party. I was invited to join the game as a cartographer and sell the map to the party, and now I'm playing with them! They are an evil party. :) I am playing a wizard Kalashtar, I am relatively neutral, well, at least I thought I was going to be. The first thing I did was buy a pelt from the party in return to make a new map on. A Drow pelt... maybe my wizard will turn out pretty evil by the end. :(

This map was quite cheap compared to my usual work, but it was only for non-profit use on a DM's screen so I gave him a good quote. :) Something fairly simple like this can be done for a lower rate than my big printable poster work.

Obviously the Sword Coast is not my property, it is the Wizards of the Coast and it is thanks to many other previous artists who've done work in Faerun that this map exists. I referenced four other maps in the process, and this is just one more contribution to the enormous living world that is Dungeons and Dragons.

I used KMA's historical map brushes (freely available for your download as well) and Other World Mapper in the creation of this map, as well as some of my own assets.
