This stencil was spotted on numerous derelict buildings during an exploration of the abandoned Fort Ord military base outside of Monterey, California. This sea otter is the mascot of California State University - Monterey Bay, which now owns much of the former base and has yet to knock down the buildings.

The juxtaposition of the fuzzy otter and the prospect of imminent destruction amused me... as if to say, "where otters dwell, destruction follows!"
