I'm still experimenting with and learning some of the tools in the application called PaintTool Sai, which many of you are likely also familiar with. For exercise I am doing small informal and often unfinished projects like this image.

From an original sketch of the character Rababaesch (Ba'a for short) by emberz I used the pencil tool to ink the line art and then tried a few different ways of adding some colour and hopefully texture. The leggings all feel rather paint bucket fill to me. The belt sash has something going on though, and my more usual soft brushed style to the face is showing.

It's a bit of a mish-mash still, but hoping to improve with this program the more things like this I do.

If any PaintTool experts out there would like to throw some suggestions and tips at me in the comments I'd love that. Flagging it for a critique to see how that works here also :)
