I don't remember how, but sometime a few days ago I randomly stumbled upon this contest at deviantart:

Basically, you have to design a character based on one of KeypersCove's jewelry designs. It looked really fun and creative and I had about a dozen ideas immediately, so I decided to give it a try. This is what I came up with.

The magic glowy stuff was kind of an afterthought because I felt like something was missing, so as a result the lighting is really off D: I tried to adjust it as much as I could. I really need to plan these things better before I start.

I have another idea for an entry that I've started sketching already, so I'm hopefully going to finish that before the deadline.
