eX is an insectoid alien with genius-level intellect and an incredibly ambitious personality. They're the founder and CEO of Neurveccan Enterprises, a multi-faceted company whose primary sector is the design and manufacture of interstellar spacecraft. Their tech empire spans several star clusters, and they possess (but rarely fully enjoy) a life of luxury and wealth.

They come off as a cold, calculating control freak; the sensitive, friendly, even silly parts of their personality are hidden behind an iron curtain. They have a strong, genuine conviction towards creating a better world, and is willing to do whatever it takes-- including manipulation, espionage, blackmail, conspiracy, and if necessary, murder-- to accomplish their goals.
