Two of the important things in theatre: Tie Line and Gaff Tape.

Tie Line is thin black rope that we use to tie up stuff. Cables, Curtains, you name it. Feel comforted by the fact that the 60 pound curtains hung above the stage are held up with standard shoe-lace double knots.

Gaff Tape is a black tape that comes off of surfaces fairly cleanly. We use it to tape cables to the floor, cover connections that shouldn't be seen, and pretty much everything else.
