Laurel Hill (Original Composition)

Fourteenth part of the Yellowknife saga. Here we see Forester mourning the premature death of his former lover, and christening the site where he laid her to rest Laurel Hill. I lifted the name off a graveyard that I pass every day when I go to my work place. I thought it would be most appropriate.

Yeah, this entire story got entirely depressing. Don't worry, there's hope around the corner!

Thanks for listening, guys and gals! Enjoy! :)

LYRICS:
I found her soul on Laurel Hill
Where her body went to die
And soon the earth will love you, Laurel Hill
Because she greets you with open arms, with open arms

I knelt beside her on Laurel Hill
Where I made my little sepulcher
Darling, please wait for me by Laurel Hill
Because I will be with you in your mind

Bridge:
I know you won’t be with me when I pass away
Your love will never be of this earth
Please aid to calm my soul and still my beating heart
Before I kill all that hurt you
On Laurel Hill

I stood by you in the cemetery
Where I named your new home Laurel Hill
The spirits of new and old will guide you
To a world where there is no meaning

I plan to be buried next to you, love
My soul was ripped in two by Laurel Hill
So now you can find my bloodied soul
You’ll find all in a tombstone marked “Hope”
