Practice session goal:
Refrain from using human models and work straight from animal portraits. Color and shade a work. Improve on hair. Use complementary colors and values. Try and create some characters. Work on facial expressions.

Personal thoughts:
Shading is kind of meh. I accidentally put a lot of my shading on my hair layer or one of them, and that caused a bit of a hiccup along the way. In general I'm just trying to work on appropriate shadows and highlights. To me the colors look too flat and there's conflicting styles going on. In particular are the ears. On one end I'm drawing from an animal reference but in another it looks almost too animated like with the hair. I'm not sure if this is an issue I should think about correcting soon.
I could probably work on giving the fur more depth next...
