Now the next few posts are gonna start getting a little interesting. owo

This was actually one of several YCHs I offered at Furpocalypse! I had no idea how YCHs would be received in a convention setting, since they're usually only something you see online, and even more rarely in a traditional (non-digital) format. Much to my surprise (and excitement!) they were received very well! So you better believe there are more coming in the future, both at cons and online!

Personally, I'm a huge fan of YCHs. As a commissioner, YCHs have always been my favorite way to get art for a number of reasons! I could know exactly what I was getting ahead of time without worrying the end result wouldn't match the vision in my mind, or if I didn't even have an idea but still wanted art, I could just see something and go "Oh hey, I like that!" And now as an artist, I'm finding it may be my favorite way to take commissions, as well! I feel like it gives me a lot more freedom to be creative with poses and subject matter. I can try more ambitious ideas that I couldn't afford to not have pan out in a regular commission, or explore topics that may be a bit more "niche," all without fear of displeasing the client (that's YOU!), because I mean, they'll already know they like it before they place the order!

So, naturally, what better way to be "ambitious and niche" yet still play it somewhat safe for this initial trial run than to make A Foot Thing, right? In fact, each of my YCHs from the con focused on a particular common niche (are you understanding what "niche" means yet?).
