No idea if the lighting/shading is physically correct since I was basically just making it up on the fly from imagination, but I'm pretty happy with the result nonetheless.
That said, this ball is a bit too translucent. Now I'm curious to figure out how to draw semi-translucent materials like ice and jelly. Probably add a bit of color in the center, behind the highlights? Something to try next time...
