I tend to have some strange thing with shadows where they tend to just never look right. xD I don't use dark enough, I suppose. P: I'm going to work on practicing that a bit more.
Also, I see what you mean with the paws. :/ I should go back and rework this a bit eventually. -

The detail in this piece is well done. The shadows and some other bits seem like they should be darkened somewhat (like the bend towards the hip in the hind-leg). also, the forepaw seems a little rigid. Other than that, This is a well crafted piece.
