Compared to our two binary ones, Foo'Shi have three recognized genders in their species and society. These are determined by a sexual dimorphic combination of physical form and genitalia, and are all equally recognized and well-known.

In Guardian form, Foo’Shi display no sexual dimorphism whatsoever outside scale, it’s when they take their base two-legged form where the differences are much more clear;

Males
Most Male Foo’Shi are large and range from lithely built at the least to mildly muscular at best, with broad shoulders and chests. They are tall compared to an average human height, ranging from between 6 feet tall to 7 and carry a single set of the standard genitalia to fit their gender which are of a draconic lean; with a few rows of nubs (not spines) to stimulate the female into ovulation, ribbed on the underside and with a ridged head, and is all kept within a sheath. The male’s penis has a bulge at the base, but this does not at all function like a real knot in that it does not “lock” and can be pulled out with enough force without hassle, and is mainly used to pleasure both partners. The standard length is a foot with the width being 2 inches and the bulge at 3 or 4, although max natural length is 14 inches for the larger 7ft specimens, and their testicles are large and free-hanging. Because of their natural muscle structure, they are usually the strongest Foo'Shi.

Females
Female Foo’Shi have a more ‘petite’ look with their feminine body structure in comparison. Narrow shoulders, wide hips, short compared to their male counterparts in that they range within the mid 4 to low 5 foot area, with breasts ranging from flat to B-Cup. They are the smallest out of the genders, with female Foos taller than the stated ranges being an extremely rare anomaly, even rarer than those on the lower end of the scale. A pregnant and lactating Foo’Shi mothers’ breasts never go higher than C-cup in size. Their outer reproductive bits are more akin to felines; their vaginal slits are small and thus easy to hide and be hidden without clothing needed, but are stretchy and expand greatly in depth and can produce high natural vaginal lubricant to take a male’s equipment when properly aroused. A single clitoris sits at the top of the vaginal entrance, hidden under a hood to protect it that grows erect when aroused. While female Foo’Shi have regular heat cycles during the Saborian summer months, they cannot release eggs in the oviduct during those periods without sex. Only once stimulated, ovulation is induced.

Femboys
Uncommonly, a fifth to a tenth of the male Foo’Shi population can sometimes be born with a body structure similar to the feminine, making for a recognized “Third Gender” in the species. These androgynous effeminates go by the roughly translated “Femboys” or “Traps” depending on individuals personal preference, have narrow shoulders and wide hips, are relatively thin, and grow up to be a foot shorter than other Foo’Shi males on average, with the tallest being 6 feet. The most notable feature however is that their chest fur is extra dense and fluffy to simulate breasts. But underneath that bunch of fur they can be either flat or A-Cup. These are secondary sex characteristics that are noticed at the earliest age of 10, allowing them to be classed properly from male Foo'Shi and raised as respectively by their parents in their juvenile years. A femboy Foo'Shi's genitalia however are not in any way lessened in size or virility despite their physical femininity and are the same size as an average male’s genitals. These particular Foo’Shi are referred to as male like their larger more muscular counterparts while adopting a feminine gender expression of varying degrees in the form of cross-dressing, use of make-up, and/or feminine mannerisms to imitate women. Because the gender identity implies effeminacy in not only behavior but also natural body type, it is never traditionally applied to any masculine male Foo’Shi.
The growth of one's chest fluff is deemed a coming-of-age before the actual sexual maturation, treated like one would a birthday and celebrated by the particular femboy’s family.

Foo’Shi society as a whole consider them as “in-between” male and female physically and socially, however they do not fall into the Terran definition of non-binary or transgender as they recognize themselves as male and are referred as such by those around them, and thus to label them as such would be false. Femboy and female Foo’Shi still have a level of noticeable dimorphism between the two even while in dress, and femboy Foo’Shi take offense to seriously being referred to as female as a result, and thus make such assumptions incorrect and discouraged. Being pushed in the traditional male and female roles is upsetting for femboys.

I'm beginning to actually add info to my Foo'Shi species onto my accounts and starting out with the easiest one to write; the genders + their sexual dimorphism. I went in for extreme anthro dimorphism here, with males capable of being very tall and females very short, with pretty traditional gender differences. Size difference is one of the things I love drawing the most so I wanted a pretty wide range to use. The B/W line doodle represents the three genders of Foo'Shi at their tallest, you can find the height ranges showing the contract of that compared to their shortest on my Newgrounds and Inkbunny acc. Tho idk if I'll be able to make use of that range here despite the lore explanation for the species being Soul Collar = Adult for Foo'Shi.

And bc I could, I made femboys their own thing as a physical "mix" of the two (but they still all identify as male, and are basically the androgynes of Foo'Shi). Emmy is and has been the first debut of them ever since I redesigned him and needed an excuse why he looks like that. I tried to design their ears, manes, tails and collars differently, as they can have a variety of looks depending on the individual's genetics.

I will go into their collars and how they work on a biological level for them eventually! As it is a very vital part of Foo'Shi for extremely important reasons that have been hinted at in both Issac and Emmy's reference info and signify their adulthood in the species' society. I will also eventually likely go into their Guardian (Feral) forms, the evil soul devouring Ban'Shi (aka what they turn into when their souls are unstable and thus lost), their "blessed/cursed" body traits, and their lifespan up until adulthood and how the stages work. But bc this is me we're talking about, I will not put a timeframe on when outside of my own time when I can, and I ask those not to do the same please thank you.
