One of the most important domesticated beasts in Tesra are the "sheklir". The creatures can be bred to provide wool and meat and their milk can be used to produce cheese, they are used on farms for tilling crops, heavy lifting and certain sheklir can be bred from battle, growing up to six sets of large horns for ramming. Sheklir are a primary from of transportation and can be found across Tesra.
Sheklir also have a natural predator, the nocturnal, chupacabra-esque beast known as a "pretah". Though pretah mainly prey on sheklir, they will attempt to attack people if they are manage to corner them and of they are hunting in a large enough pack. The pretah only eat rotting meat however, so when a pack of pretah have made a kill they will each begin to pick from the carcass and leave parts in the sun for days on end. This and their ghoulish facial carapace has earned them the name "Hungry Ghosts".
