Stylized Vale Lily ~WIP~

Elliana

I was doodling with a different style than usual, so naturally I started drawing my ponysona with it c:

I'm so excited about this pic because I usED SAI FOR IT!!! :D :D I got Parallels and SAI to work on my Mac again, and that'll help tide me over until I can get my PC fixed (my original art computer).

I can only use SAI for so long, though. Parallels is a resource hogs and puts a lot of stress on my poor 5yo computer. ;n;

    im glad you got sai working! i've been meaning to experiment with virtualbox and sai as its slightly less of a hog than parallels

    there's a sai-alike for mac called firealpaca, you heard of/played with it at all? its pretty resource light too, wayyyyy more so than photoshop

    AND this pony is really cute! lion tail??

      I've yet to play around with virtualbox and SAI. If you get the chance, let me know how it goes!

      I actually have FIreAlpaca, but I don't feel as comfortable using it for anti-aliased pictures because it's selection tools aren't as intuitive as SAI's. FireAlpaca is actually the program I used for the other two pictures on this account. ouo

      Another thing I like about SAI over FireAlpaca: FireAlpaca doesn't have a layer folder system. There's no way to group layers other than clipping them together. My layers can get really messy D: SAI, however, has a layer folder system, which also allows for nested folders. This is insanely useful for me. <3

        yeah, FA is no sai for sure. still beats having /no/ OSX-native app that has line smoothing, tho. if i have any luck with vb ill pass it on!
