Last night I came home from a New Year's Eve party. It was rather late, and I was pretty tired after an eventful evening. As I was about to head upstairs to bed, I could swear I caught a glimpse of a strange figure peering in from the outside. He was there for a moment before vanishing. Concerned, I went around the house and found him peering in through the other entrances before vanishing again. I made sure all the locks were secure, and wrote off this imagined apparition as the after effects of strong champagne. I do hope I don't see more of him this year, that would be quite the bother.
