I used to be afraid of the rain. What it did to me. How it made me look. It wasn't... Ugly, really, but it was different, bizzare. I hated the stares I drew as my skin turned bright and shimmery blue before I managed to duck indoors. But, somewhere within me, it always felt soft and soothing; and sometimes, in the privacy of my home, I'd open the window, let the fresh air mix with the crisp, cool rain... And let myself become a different me.
