The reconstruction process takes from six to ten hours to complete, depending on the complexity of the patterns being applied. Any faster, and they will fail to take hold on the subject's body, resulting in a prompt end to external effects. The process can still be restarted by unraveling the pattern to a state where it more closely matches the current form, but ultimately, haste results in nothing more than extending the duration and difficulty of the process. Our subject, now in her fully reconstructed hybrid form, is a fine example of a completed procedure: The essence pattern held for the entire duration of the process, and she could now remove the collar, and remain a true Hybrid; Dragonair essence contained within a human form, with a shape blended to match.
