A Blade in the Dark

Driphtyr

The dragon fell. Delphine watched, mouth agape, as the dead Sahloknir's body began to burn. A bright light, a wind... something burst from the dragon and surrounded the Khajiit. As Delphine watched, what she assumed was the very soul of the dragon, vanished into the Khajiit's body. He stared at her, but said nothing. Eventually, she found the words she'd doubted since laying eyes on him. It was hard to believe that the scraggly warrior she'd seen give Farengar the Stone from Bleak Falls Barrow, was the one the Greybeards had summoned to High Hrothgar.

"So you really are... I... it's true, isn't it?" she asked. "You really are Dragonborn. I owe you some answers, don't I? Go ahead. Whatever you want to know. Nothing held back."

A little piece inspired by one of my favourite scenes in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. I doodled this not long after my (eighth or ninth) defeat of Sahloknir at Kynesgrove. Of course, it looked way more epic in my head.

Though the story is mine, the concepts portrayed belong to Bethesda Studios, used for entertainment purposes only. I suppose you could consider this story... fan-fiction... vomits.
