The awakening,
Into a new world,
A new body,
That seems not this one’s own.

Wearily reaching back for a glimpse of the past,
The high golden trees with its lush canopies,
The fresh autumn air,
Holding strong onto this one’s love for you.

The dust settling,
The pistons shifting,
What once was, is no more,
This one will adjust, This one will persevere,

This one will find you,
This one will survive,
This one will live.
