I'm trying to get some ideas on how to improve the face. Before I move on to making real textures to replace the temp shaders that I've applied directly to the polygons, I'd like to make the shape and topology of the model is the best I can do. Major changes to topology after UV/Texture works can invalidate those changes and force you to redo that texture work.
The face uses wire deformers, with custom weight painting which can be used to easily alter the model's shape to create facial expressions. It's a fairly flexible rig, at least as far as my stuff goes. I added some lights and temp shaders as well.
