Free sign-ups? Don't know what I'm talking about?
Every year I like to do a unique, limited edition Halloween card that I offer up for free to people who want one. They act as a kind of "Christmas card", but because I like Halloween better, I chose to do a spooky card instead! They're a way for me to give back to everyone who has supported my art throughout the year. However, I only send out free ones if you sign up during the window I have them open before October! I then order professionally printed cards based on the number of sign-ups, and offer any remaining cards for sale. Each year is unique and a surprise until I know most have been delivered (or it's Halloween).
