Shaya, the war dancer by Draekos

Shaya, the war dancer

Draekos

Some people may recognize her from older art. She's been a character bouncing around my skull for years that I've never really had a use for.

Now I do, she's an elf now instead of a human, I like the dagger ears.

[below paragraph is some nerdy pen and paper shit]
Until I, and follow me here, looked at how barbarian rules work in Pathfinder/DnD/etc. Undying rage that shrugs off wounds?... cute, but an alternative option is a character who fights like a dancer, dodging hits (reducing damage taken), but doing so is more tiring than 'normal' combat. I find it fun to look at ways for characters to do things mechanically the same, but fictionally different.

    This is gorgeous. O.o

Interesting. Fights like a dancer. More energy, but the trade off is less damage taken, potentially. Nice.

same mechanical effect as the "I GET SO ANGRY I DON'T GET HURT" Barbarian, but I feel a far more interesting character to play, to me at least.

Seems like it could be like capoeria, as a fighting style. Only with swords.

Close! In my head there's less rolling on the ground and a bit more waltzing longstep ^^

Although the more modern incarnation of her is probably serious into cutting shapes (an ironically named style of dance)
