Been wanting to do a ref sheet for Hjörtr for like...two years. :P

Information that is NOT included in the graphic:

Hjörtr is not immortal, but he can be killed daily so long as it is a respectful hunt. If thanked for his death and killed for food and not for trophy, he will return to life the following morning at daybreak. If he is ever killed for his antlers alone, he will truly die.

He can choose to shapeshift into any cervine species at will. Most of the time he keeps a Whitetail "flag" tail, though sometimes not. In all forms, he is white, though when he chooses to be a spotted species (like Fallow or Axis deer) there is a faint mottling of lighter spots on his rump and shoulders.

His antlers are never symmetrical in his true Caribou form, but can be when he is another deer species. If he chooses to be a species that has no antlers, he cannot be a hunt-sacrifice.

Hjörtr's antlers can shed and reform at will, as well as with the change of the seasons. As such, any artist that draws him does NOT need to worry about getting the antlers "just right," so long as they are of reasonable size for the species he has chosen to be, it is perfect.

If moved to tears by emotion, Hjörtr weeps pearls and diamonds. His tears are blood and black tar if he weeps from pain.

In all forms, he bugles like an Elk.

Hjörtr can be drawn anthro; if anthro, he has digitgrade hooves and a slightly stout body, maybe with a bit of a belly.

Though his teeth are like that of a cervine, he is an omnivore, and will readily hunt prey or scavenge dead animals with just as much enthusiasm as he exhibits from eating lichens and browsing fresh greens.

So there it is...Hjörtr in a nutshell. :)
