Ok, this is going to take some explanation. I like Many people follow fellow artist s-l-b and was introduced to this excerpt from a short film by Uli Meyer that was either never completed or never released to the public. Now, while SLB's main goal with this was to introduce us to a curvy toon girl by the name of Tina, I kind of dug the feel of this short from this excerpt. This kind of super hero movie involving toons, like Batman mixed with Who Framed Roger Rabbit?. So given by the title of the film, I figured that the main character would probably be some toon duck fighting crime and was planning to do a supposed look at with this character's visual design would be. However, the design took on a life of it's own as I developed my own character based on this concept and a possible series around it.However, my idea has kind of developed into some thing like Bonkers meets Darkwing Duck. The premise for my The Duck is set in a city not far from Burbank, known as the animation capital of the world where not only are animated films made but the cartoon stars live in half the city while the other half is populated by humans. The toon area called InknPaint Park is home to numerous characters and creatures, even toons who aren't even in cartoons. Our lead, Malcom Mallard is one such toon who works as a police officer or rather 'worked' as a police officer until he left the department. Now as a private eye and vigilante, he fights crime as inspired by pulp fiction heroes like the Shadow and the Spirit. Of course being a toon duck, he still struggles here and there either to be taken seriously or to make sure he doesn't get iced by the deviants who plague the city. I have a couple of ideas I need to figure out for the concept but I've got a few starting members for the cast and at least a couple story ideas. I had fun drawing this page of concepts and designs. -Inspired by pulp fiction heroes, Malcolm sought to become a mysterious hero who fought for justice
-He briefly enrolled in a police academy when he was older but was heckled by his fellow students due to his short stature
-While completing academy training, He left the force when he grew tired of the heckling from his peers and corruption in the department
-He then set up shop as a private investigator, hoping that some of his cases would lead him to something bigger while still taking on the mundane stuff
-Possesses skills for fighting crime, such as hand to hand combat, forensic science, and detective training
-Though well meaning in his approach at vigilantism and tries to put on a persona of a mysterious hero, he has moments where he can be a little hapless
-Tries to maintain his cool and demeanor as a badass but has moments where he falls out of it like when he’s genuinely scared, has clumsy accident, gets excited, or spots an attractive woman
