Is painter a mac-compatible program? And how does it feel compared to working traditionally? I'm trying to get into digital and am finding photoshop more than a bit daunting.

There should be a Mac version, but honestly I'd never suggest it to others. It's a crappy bug-laden mess. The only reason I stick with it is familiarity since I've had it for 8 years or so. If you sit down with Photoshop and watch some tutorial videos to learn the ins and outs, you'll be much happier in the long run. There are some pretty nice brushes in Photoshop, too.

Wow, I really like the real media look of this. It looks so creepy with the heavy black brush strokes, like it would be a really thick painting, nice and heavy with Tivier's eerie glowing silhouette. As always you are most excellent goddess of much mood!

Thank you Kitt, I wanted to do something from Tivier's darker, more alien moments, when he starts to lose his shit a little. But I want to make sure he always appears elegant regardless of the unease.
