In Amber Rust the hive's roaches commandeered a walled-in space under the stairs. They mostly play games there, barter work between each other and drink, but Buster has decided to fill the place with random junk.

The ceiling light is the glowing wax that lights the rest of the hive. Since the roaches can't produce it, they trade for it and salvage it from ceilings that are being re-lit. They tend to just stick it up whenever they get it rather than making nice flat shapes like the bees do.
