Miles should have been paying more attention to the time of the month, he should have noticed the signs as the light of the moon shown through the window. The truth is, he thought the treatments would work, he thought he could hold it in.

But it seemed that was not too be, the changes rippling through him, his small body starting to grow, his hands getting bigger, less dexterous, claws stretching larger and thicker as gray fur began to stretch across his body.

He new that he should be trying to prepare, to at least remove his clothes, perhaps lock the door, try to contain the creature he was to become...yet already his thoughts began to grow slippery. Harder and harder to focus on things as the changes rippled through him.

There is a moment of regret, though he would deny it, that he never gets the chance to even try to enjoy his changing body, as a wave of haze seems to settle across his mind, suppressing it as new instincts began to bubble to the surface.
