All of them are childhood friends, Makoto has liked Sachi for years and he wants to tell her before she moves out of the city at the end of the semester. They all are dealing with things, Makoto's dad leaving them for his secretary, Hisa's father remarrying and Sachi's transition to another city. Hisa also is keeping the fact that he's gay and likes Makoto, as he doesn't want to ruin the friendship, and dealing with his new family. Makoto and Sachi's long distance relationship is strain as they deal with their own problems. Makoto working and maybe dropping out to help out his mom and wondering what it means to love. Sachi confusing time as she tries to figure out who she is and what she wants in life.
