Based off of a person that appeared in a dream I had recently.

Basically, he had been captured and experimented on to the point where he became really fragile and incapable of speech. Yet against all odds, he somehow managed to escape and went on the run and encountered me multiple times.

The most prominent thing about him was the oxygen mask he was wearing. Now normally, an oxygen mask would be connected to an oxygen supply (or at least you would hope so). But the oxygen mask this boy was wearing was connected to his headphones. And he was still breathing normally.

The only explanation I could come up with was that whatever music he was listening to was literally keeping him alive. At first I assumed it was some just some binaural beat or ambience, but near the end of the dream the surrounding area where I was became eerily quiet.

The boy then promptly appeared without warning and I could finally hear that he was actually listening to mind.in.a.box. In particular the song "Fear", possibly because that was the emotion he had been feeling throughout his entire expierence.

I really wish I hadn't been woken up at that point, cause I really wanted to just go up to him and tell him that his ordeal was over and that everything would be alright. But I know that I couldn't let him fade from my mind just like any other dream. And that led to me drawing him.
