I love working on black and white pieces.

They don't take nearly as long and I can still fit in my detail.

Do you mind critique on this?

It received a fair bit in the sketch stage on the legs, face, and angle of the body. I wouldn't mind, but I can't change it at this point.

Oh, I understand no changeing it at this point...

Sorry if I sounded bitter. Critique would help for next time.

It was just surprising for me to see this piece, basically, to only receive critique from start to finish, nothing else; whereas none of my other pieces have gotten such critique attention.

I think you shoudl be happy peopel are giving you feedback, it means that something about the picture sparked enough interest to get people involved in it! ;)

The head is amazing! And you have alot of great details, but the body and head seem to not go together at all...you did the fur totally different on the head and body and the head looks very realistic and natureal but the body seems a bit flat and lifeless compared to the head anyway! Your pencil work overall is realy nice. I am sure I am not expressing myself well...The background would benifit from some shading..clouds, mountains, something!

That's a good point. Hm, I guess it's easier for me to detail a head than body parts. I'll have to look into that the next time, thank you.

I think I got too caught up in the head and making it look natural, and only defining general musculature for everything else. Maybe changing the fur texturing for the rest, like I do in the head, would improve that.

Though there seems to be more sharp contrast in the face than the body. Would darker shading in areas help, you think?

Some darker /stronger contrast on the body would help, yes!
