Taylor was now a new mother. Not only that, she was a new mother in a strange land that was just now starting to get back up on its feet after the war. Not only that, she was a new mother in a country where she knew just the basics of their language to get by, was unclear what a good majority of the exotic products did and had no frame of reference or guidance on what was best for her children since a majority of the products were for reptilian sensibilities and/or biology. They may not work as intended for mammals, let alone wolves. Although she had some limited new-found freedom to do as she pleased, given her part in winning the war, it still felt like she was an outcast in a country that ultimately cared little for her kind. She wished she still had her mother by her side to guide her through this new stage in her life, because it was starting to all feel a bit overwhelming.
