Taylor Renee Wolford had a sheltered childhood. Her mother, Murana, moved out of the inner city when it became clear that having a child with a tailmaw would spell more problems for their family the more they were around hordes of people. Now, at the outskirts of the city and fluctuating between home school and public school, Taylor was alone most of the time. Murana was out doing her job for the city police force to help pay the bills. Anthony, her dad, had died when she was just eight years old. Uncle Sebastian could only visit so often because of his nurse work at Zabokar General. The two people who ended up visiting most often, at least in the early years since her dad's death were her brothers, Steven and Max. Both adopted long before she was born, they were the two people she looked up to the most. Steven fostered in Taylor her love for games, and taught her how to use Ahya to cheat well while playing(!), while Max fostered her love for music and wanting to be a musician and singer - a notion that took Ahya some time to get used to. These cherished memories with her older brothers were some of the best she had growing up and she loved her family dearly. They were the only few who put up with her and her weird maw of a tail and didn't judge her for it.
