Sometimes, certain things are made different. Not all animals or even some people can register the effects of capsaicin, or the organic compound produced by seeds of certain plants that tricks the brain into thinking it's burning up, thus forcing receptors to 'cool' you down. That is exactly the case with Taylor and Ahya. While Taylor is used to most spicy foods due to the diet and foods her mother prepared when she was younger, she is not invulnerable to extremely spicy foods. Ahya, on the other hand, is immune and can't even tell if something is spicy or not. It just tastes good. Since all things Ahya eats transfers to Taylor ultimately, it is unfortunate when Ahya eats something not exactly pleasant and Taylor must suffer the results.
