Legend of Ahya: Target of Interest needed a cover that depicted specifically what the entire first book was about. Taking cues from the subtitle directly, it essentially is all about Taylor and the variety of factions and people who are out there seeking her. She IS the target of interest. So a cover highlighting specifically her and the condition we find her in at the start of the book seemed to be the best way to encapsulate what the entire first book is about. A young wolf on the run, down on her luck, alone and hungry - lost in the wilds of the desert in a town she doesn't even know. All this while powerful forces swirl around seeking her out unbeknownst to her. Giving the artist freedom to formulate the cover image, they were drawn to this visual image of seeing Taylor alone like this. A perfect vision of where she begins her series compared to where she'll end up. It'll be such a ride to see her grow as a character from here.
