I'm 1/3 through writing book 2 and I'm going to begin alluding to another important character in Taylor's life. He'll make his formal appearance at the start of book 3, but Liam McHowl is going to be Taylor's first love and...lover. It was a year ago to this day I had decided that Taylor would become pregnant over the span of her six book series for story and character arc reasons. However, her primary lover and ultimate partner she'll end up with is Jake Thumpings, a rabbit - a species she cannot possibly mate and produce offspring with in my world. So I needed to come up with a way for Taylor to get pregnant in a manner consistent with her as a character while still opening up the possibility for Jake later on in the series while not having it be 'cheating' on either person. Trust me, it was an obstacle course to figure out the timeline logistics of these requirements - especially since she'll meet Jake first technically!

Enter Liam McHowl. Like Lucario389, WarWolf is a great friend who was also interested in Taylor Renee and has graciously signed over the legal rights to his character for use in her book series. He's an interesting character, his original creation originally being a mix of wolf and dragon. That makes his inclusion to her lore interesting since there ARE going to be dragons in her books. So we're in discussions how best to introduce him and what his role and powers will be in narrative and if his dragon heritage concept will play a role in the plot. If we are going to go that route with him, his ability to impregnate Taylor would be a very interesting wrinkle to the future of any children they have - implications I'm still outlining and figuring out! So basically, she'd be getting with Liam first, it doesn't 100% work out and then later gets with Jake, but after she's already pregnant from Liam. In this way, I can settle the whole conscience and morality issue about the whole situation while still achieving my narrative goals for the series.

A gift he truly enjoyed and was appreciative of. Between Liam and Jake, Taylor and Ahya will not be short on people who can see past her tailmaw and love her for who she is. A rare gift indeed!
