I'm always up for conceptualizing scenes and events that will occur or happen later in my books. I did it with 'In Darkness I Hide' with various pieces of concept art. Sure, they didn't always turn out exactly how I originally commissioned them to be, but the overall idea did get translated in some form or another into the book/story. That is what this piece here is about. It is about a far-off action sequence set to occur in book 3 of Taylor's series of novels. It is a long ways away, but I am lightly planning on the scope of that book even now, at the end of finishing up book 1. I got a rough idea of what she's doing, where she is and why she's doing it and who she is fighting.

So just what is happening here? She is scaling a cliffside with climbing cables and Ahya gripping hard on a stray branch for balance. One of her companions who is with her was not so lucky and got hit and is probably on his way to his death. That quarterstaff she is using is definitely an augmented upgrade to the one she practices with in book 1 and it now has several different functions embedded into it such as a force shield that deflects projectiles, even bullets, from hitting her. This scaling up the mountainside is not going to be easy, but she is filled with determination!
