I got it! I got my commission from David Lillie :D. David and Liz Lillie are the amazing creators of the exciting furry comic, . A world where each human being has a corresponding creature known as a Dreamkeeper, that shares their personality, likes, loves, and general path in life. Dreamkeepers exist to keep us each safe while we dream from the power of evil nightmares, and to do so, they are each provided with a magical power. That said, there's a ton of cheerful fun shenanigans to be had and here in between all the stories of myth and intrigue. Here, Dante seems to have run into the kids crew from Dreamkeepers and is going for a swim inside an amazing mountain swimming hole in the Starfall Mountains. I guess there's always time for a fun chance to play and explore, even with the perilous myths of nightmares still out there! And who knows what ancient mysteries lurks in those caves or under that water.

In the original ink for this picture, you can actually see that that swimming hole does go down, too. Way way way down in caves that dive deep into the dreamworld. It's the perfect place for a younger version of Dante to play after being exiled. Why exiled? Let's say he has very little control over an accidental bright pink halo. Luckily he ran away before they ever had a chance to fill out the paperwork for his exile though! So maybe he's in a bit of limbo? Why would a halo get you in trouble? For that you'd have to read the comic, which coincidentally is mostly online for free in case you want to try it out. It's absolutely incredible and filled with amazing art like this that has slowly just gotten better and better over the years. 100% recommend!
