The Slow Loris is one of many animals who have been caught up in the illegal pet trade. While considered a fashionable and cute pet, these poor creatures are horribly abused by their captors. They are snatched from their mothers, and their teeth and nails are painfully removed to make them seem more attractive and less harmful to buyers. These creatures deserve our respect, but have instead become endangered thanks to these trends. If we are to show our love for animals, the best thing we can do is leave them to their natural habitats to thrive.
This little slow loris is happy to break free of her cage.
