Sometimes, when I'm very lucky, I have strange dreams featuring huge, beautiful birds you couldn't find in our waking world. This is one such creature.
The Red-Shouldered Phoenix hovered in the night sky, fiery form burning brightly against the darkness. It screamed up to the moon as I brought my car to a stop, enthralled by the sight. The trees at the top of the mountain were dwarfed by its size, and the bird's power shook the very branches around it. It was absolutely awe-inspiring!
