(Degaré is a shapeshifting black dog- he is a mashup of multiple black dogs from english mythology (which vary from area to area, but all generally have the same base of being a black shaggy ghosty mutt with sharp red eyes) and one of the rare variants that have been supposedly spotted were human faced/headed
