This story was featured in the 2016 Further Confusion conbook. The theme of the convention was 1950's Classic American Diner. I must have agonized over this for a good couple of months scratching my antlers and trying to figure out just what kind of a story to try and write. I think this is why I'm really enjoying writing these convention book stories because it really challenges me to be creative about the most random of subjects and still produce an actual story from it. I pulled a lot from my own experiences of working in food service for this. Customers really do make the strangest requests sometimes!
