Naroth and Daebel are two of the five escapees from the Darkening of the Forbidden Kingdom; Neither one can be considered remotely close to mad, but the two brothers are vastly different. Naroth is strong, bulky, and brawny, but is a gentle giant even at the worst of times. Daebel is short, weaker, and the smarter of the two; He directs Naroth to act in the most efficient manner possible, and Naroth protects the both of them.
While escaping the city, the two fell behind due to Daebel tripping over some sort of creature; When Naroth stopped to help him up, the two were attacked by Gutmouths, parasites that imbed themselves into the stomachs of their hosts and claim a small amount of the calories and blood of the host to stay alive; The two didn't stop to try to get the gutmouths out immediately, thus sealing the parasites into them permanently.
Naroth welcomed his gutmouth, giving it as much food as it desired, while Daebel tries his best to avoid fulfilling the parasite's wishes; However, sometimes he simply cannot help himself and ends up binge eating unintentionally. Daebel often falls over due to the sheer weight of his Gutmouth despite the counterbalancing tail he has; It added nearly 67 pounds to him in his stomach region, making it hard to balance. His brother has no trouble balancing, however, due to his sheer bulkiness and strength.
