As the creature closes in to devour Daea, he notices an odd change occurring before him…
The shadowy slime stretches and shifts, its form moving and molding around, until it almost resembles… the lizard himself?!
Thus Daea realizes the creature’s plan, to turn itself into its victim while simultaneously “removing” the original!
However, the beast's hypnotic stare had already drained any of the lizard's will to fight, and so he can only watch as he’s swallowed up and sinks into the slime’s “stomach”.
As the slime breaks its gaze and its control over Daea weakens, the reptile can only muster so little struggles as to form minute bulges within the goo-lizard’s gut, and not a single sound can pierce the thick ooze around him…
And so the slimy scaly seals its snack safely within itself, and takes its place as what might be considered "Daea".
Not the most perfect copy, but perhaps it will work well enough for it to seek new prey~ X3
