January - I lined this from a traditional sketch I did and colored it. I really wasn't worried about shading at the time.

February - This was for an artist that I admired, and again no shading.

March - A trade where I experimented with shading and reffed a few pictures offline, so my anatomy looked a bit better. Mainly the knee facing the viewer and how to balance weight.

April - A gift for the wonderful SeaboardBlue, I really worked on this and put a lot of detail into it because I really loved these two, and I love Blue, so it was a no brainer. Back to no shading.

May - A trade that I, again, reffed a pose this time and shaded again. Of course I left the wings blank. Way to go me.

June - I was stuck without a computer at this time because of sending it off and trying to get it fixed. So I did a lot of traditional art, this being one of my favorites. I got quite a few compliments on it.

July - A gift for my surrogate sister and her boyfriend, who are wonderful. I really tried shading more at this time, though I was still insecure about how it looked. I also started venturing into multiple character pictures.

August - I had this idea and really wanted to go through with it. I knew it'd be hard but I loved the idea of it and tried. I didn't want to shade it because I was already running behind on other art and I really didn't want to attempt Mikey's shading ;w;

September - I really concentrated on FA at this point, and tried my hand at more anthros. I also began shading as much as I could, no matter how little sense it made.

October - SAME. EXACT. CHARACTER. As September, my kohai :iconpoolboy: . He paid for a pinup I had and I was inspired for it, and somehow it just really fucking turned out well and I gained more of an understanding of anatomy and shading.

November - My first speedpaint. Vriska's anatomy is off and her shading is def not the best, but my excitement at making a speedpaint overwhelmed my need to fix things.

December - Ahh Nut. You can see him in July. He has his girlfriends feather aroundhis neck there, which I asked him if it was okay to do that and he was like YEAH DUH. I really got inspired to do pieces at this time, and while he doesn't really look like he's sitting (I'm pretty sure it's because of the tail OTL ) I'm getting more and more comfortable with shading and putting more complex backgrounds in my art.
