I work in the engineering department for a company that makes heavy machinery and I sit across from this huge HP plotter that prints all of our CAD drawings. We also print advertising banners and other large images on it. It takes a while to print and it’s noisy.

I love deigning object heads and because I was suffering from art block, I drew this guy. Poor guy has trouble walking through doorways and simply turning his head can knock someone out. He can quickly come up with design ideas and print them on the spot…it just takes a while to print a single drawing.

It would be awesome if I could just draw out a perfectly dimensioned drawing without going through and actually CADing something up (it would save me lots of time), but that’s what I was hired for and I actually enjoy doing it.
