Learning to Fly by Crow-Faced-Wolf

Learning to Fly

Crow-Faced-Wolf

A little snapshot of Algernon as a child~!

Being a hybrid being raised by a foster mother, Algernon's childhood was far from what most other young equines would typically experience. Especially when he had wings, and his foster mother was a vulture. So of course, he simply HAD to learn to fly. This is one such lesson, where he had been encouraged to climb up to the roof and jump off. Sure, Algernon had jumped off tall rocks and glided safely down before, but this was much, much higher than those rocks, and of course he's terrified, even with his mother below encouraging him and promising she would catch him if he fell.
This memory ends happily, as he eventually jumps-and manages to ease into a fairly flappy but safe landing. Algernon cherishes bittersweet memories such as this about his mother... as she is the one who made him who he is now.
