Like I said, my birthday was mostly spent drawing... this.

I had a sped-up version of The Phoenix by Fall Out Boy stuck in my head all day and it culminated in this. As you can see, I got bored inking halfway through and just winged it with... the second wing. Fuck that would have been so lame if I made that pun intentionally x.x

It was also an experiment with fire, since I've never drawn fire in colored pencil, and the last time I drew it digitally was in 2011. Gah. I'm way, WAY out of practice.

Anyway, I dragged up a character who hasn't gotten much love from me in art recently: Sira!

She came out looking much younger than I intended here; I was trying to depict her as an adult (she's almost 30, for fuck's sake... not that it means much since her species ages differently than humans...) but she looks like a teenager. I think it's the way I draw hips and faces. I just can't get an adult face, and her hips are a little small for a grown woman.

Anyway, she hasn't been drawn much in... the last year, actually. I think she only got one digital picture from me in all that time, and two sketches.
