This is a remake of an old art piece from when I was twelve and under the username WildClawCat for basically everything. Admittedly, it still sucks xD
The original may be found here: "I Bear These Scars"

Gah. I left this unshaded, like the original, and SUDDENLY I REMEMBER WHY I HATE THAT STYLE OF COLORING FUR SO MUCH. Aaaugh my hand hurts. I don't know how I stood doing it for six months back then ._.;

This is the bleeding version; I have another version where you only see the scars.

The explanation behind all the scars: Sira is a werecat. Some of those scars are from fights with other Weres (mostly the wolves). The two on her neck are from nearly killing herself by ripping herself from the fangs of her previous mentor with her assassin corps., after he turned rogue. Her shoulders and wrist should be self explanatory, but if not, she self harmed for several years. Her now deceased ex-fiance Timothy got her to stop for about a year, but after their mixed betrayals and the fact that she killed him, she went back to it. Her current mate, Nykolas, has yet to break her of the habit. The "Bitch" on her back is from being a prisoner of war, captured during a skirmish between her corporation (I need to rename them... for years they had the cliche name "Black Ops" and I'm tired of it) and a rival group. She refused to let the men "have their fun" with her, and bit the first man who attempted to force her to fellate him. As in, she bit it off. The result was for the word to be carved into her back. She was with them for two months, and each time her inhuman healing factor caused the wound to heal, her captors would cut it open once more, which led to it eventually scarring.

Most wounds Weres in my world receive do not scar easily. They have a high metabolism, and their inhuman nature allows them to recover from wounds rapidly. Simple scratches can heal within minutes-- deeper wounds may take a few hours. Broken bones will take a few days to a week. Even the worst wounds wouldn't take more than two weeks at most-- and if they take longer than that, they will scar. They cannot recover from wounds to the heart or brain.
